Laughs, Shits and Grins
A comic or absurd frame of mind causing the humor of a situation.

Humor consists principally in the recognition and expression of incongruities or peculiarities present in a situation or character... If you understood one word of what I just wrote above, then it's time for you to go to bed, because it doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever. So how should you, could you, would you understand it? Anyway, maybe you'll be able to find a laugh in one of the books bellow. But either way, you must check out the "CIA Book of Dirty Tricks" at the very bottom of my CIA Files Page. It is so funny, I should have listed it here. Haha!

The Book of Nonsense
|
This rollicking collection of poetic romp begins a slew of more-odd-than-bawdy limericks about the Young Lady of Wales, the Old Man of Vienna, and many, many more, all accompanied by the spare, whimsical ink drawings done by Lear himself. Part two urges readers to leap into "Nonsense Songs, Stories, Botany and Alphabets." Part three merrily inflicts "More Nonsense Pictures, Rhymes, Botany, &c." on readers with the well-known wacky limericks. The Nonsense Books will have you laughing tears for years to come, and like most of our books, this comes in Adobe PDF format so you get all of the classic pictures. And what a shame it would be to get one of those boring text versions, because this is a digital copy of the 1845 original! Wait until you see it, it really is special!

The Comic Almanac
|
Following in the footsteps his father, Cruikshank began with political and social caricatures in the Gillray and Rowlandson style for The Scourge (1811–16), but evolved a grotesque and humorous manner of his own in sketches and in book illustrations. Notable productions are his etchings, made from 1823 to 1826, for Grimms' fairy-tales and the spirited melodrama of those for Dickens's Oliver Twist and Daniel Defoe's Robinson Crusoe. He published The Comic Almanac as his most notable achievement, and hardcover volumes go for as much as $250, and more! I have been able to find an affordable, quality, Adobe Acrobat, PDF digital version of 1878 original, The Comic Almanac, masterfully showing all of Cruikshank’s sketches and illustrations. As old as it is, you will be enjoying this book or many years to come…
