Supernatural Science

The Occult deals with hidden wisdom and forbidden knowledge. To the occultist it is the study of "truth", a deeper truth that exists beneath the surface, considering, "the truth is always hidden in plain sight."

Occultism can involve such subjects as magic, alternatively spelled and defined as magick, alchemy, extra-sensory perception, astrology, spiritualism and numerology. There is often a strong religious element to these studies and beliefs, and many occultists profess adherence to religions such as for example Gnosticism, Hermeticism and Satanism. While Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Islam are generally not considered occult, some of their modern interpretations can be.

So, does the Occult and the idea of mystic practices fascinate you? Are you enthralled with spirits and spells? Perhaps mediums and sorcery leave you spellbound. Now you can discover the origins of these occult practices and study where the power resides.

Bellow you will find some of the most important and influential works ever written on the Occult and Occult related issues. And since the books bellow only begin to scratch the surface of the related works I have made available for my readers, you will definitely want to check out my Magick, Witchcraft, Alchemy and Satanism, just to name a few. I'm sure you'll find all the other related pages just fine on your own.

The Book of Shadows

$ 9.95 USD

The Book of Shadows is the name used for a book that contains magical and religious texts in the religion of Wicca and certain other neopagan witchcraft traditions. Typically, a Book of Shadows contains the core rituals, magical practices, ethics and philosophy of Wicca within it, and more often a list of the witch's personal spells. Within traditional lineaged forms of Wicca there are a number of versions of the Book of Shadows, their contents varying to a greater or lesser degree from the early versions belonging to Gerald Gardner, who first popularised Wicca. While Gardner seems to have originally treated the book as a personal journal, it has come to be considered a religious text in most traditions.This volume may very well be the most authentic and complete version of the Book of Shaddows known anywhere, with it’s 2,840 pages (some versions only have two or threehundred pages) it coveres almost every aspect, ritual and spell known within the religion.

The Mallevs Maleficarum

$ 9.95 USD

The 726 page Malleus Maleficarum was published in 1487 by Heinrich Kramer and James Sprenger. It asserts that three elements are necessary for witchcraft: the evil-intentioned witch, the help of the Devil, and the Permission of God. The treatise is divided up into three sections. The first section refutes critics who denied the reality of witchcraft, thereby hindering its prosecution. The second section describes the actual forms of witchcraft and its remedies. The third section is to assist judges confronting and combating witchcraft. However, each of these three sections has the prevailing themes of what is witchcraft and who is a witch. The Malleus Maleficarum can hardly be called an original text, for it heavily relies upon earlier works such as Visconti, Torquemada and, most famously, Johannes Nider's Formicarius (1435).
